Dr. Corbett, our head instructor.
Valdosta Martial Arts Center has well qualified instructors that lead training sessions. Shihan Dai (Junior Master Instructor) James Corbett, Ed.D., is a fifth degree black belt, that holds rank in five different martial arts, with 19 years of martial arts experience, and teaches both Kickboxing and Jujitsu. Dr. Corbett is also the Owner and Director at the Center. He is a member of the International Kickboxing Federation World Team and on the International Sport Combat Federation’s Board of Directors.
Valdosta Martial Arts Center also is the only dojo in Valdosta that has State of Georgia certified educators working as instructors. Joel is quite possibly the most dedicated student at Valdosta Martial Arts. He has been practicing kikcboxing and ju-jitsu for several years with us. Joel is our primary fill-in instructor and is a very patient teacher.
Buddy Blount is another reason why our Kids Karate program is great. He is an experienced elementary school teacher that loves working children. Bring your kids down and let this State Certified educator help them learn the martial arts.
Zack is our newest instructor. He teaches one of our chldren’s classes. He is a youth minister and is very good with kids and adults alike. He would love to share his knowledge of kickboxing and jujitsu with your child.
A number of other qualified martial artists serve as substitute instructors when our regular instructors have schedule conflicts. At Valdosta Martial Arts Center, we do encourage students to ask advice and learn from all other members, from white belt to any rank.
Come by Valdosta Martial Arts Center and meet our instructors. You will find them to be qualified and friendly, eager to help you begin your martial arts training.
